Human Trafficking Training

05/05/2019 01:30 PM - 03:00 PM ET

Description

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.  It is estimated that human trafficking generates many billions of dollars of profit per year, second only to drug trafficking as the most profitable form of crime.  It is a $290+ million illegal industry in Georgia alone.

In our ongoing effort to combat this evil, Justice and Peace Ministries is offering a “Learn the Signs” workshop designed to train participants on knowing the signs to recognize human trafficking and what actions you can take when you do see it.  This one-hour workshop could help you save a life.  Please join us.

The workshop is on Sunday, May 5, at 1:30 p.m. in the Terrace Halls at the Archdiocesan Chancery, 2401 Lake Park Drive SE, Smyrna 30080.

For questions, please contact Jayna Hoffacker, Justice & Peace Ministries Program Coordinator, at jhoffacker@archatl.com or 404-920-7898.
