Hidden Dangers: Protecting Our Children from Sex Trafficking
Description
An interactive discussion about how trafficking works addressed to the parents so they know how these devious individuals operate in the shadows to slowly target and groom and deceptively work to ensnare young unsuspecting kids as young as 11 years old. The message delivered to the kids is aimed at how to stay and work together and modify their behavior with use of social media and interaction amongst one another to be on the lookout for this and prevent occurrences, and notably how to observe evidence of potential trafficking victims before and after they have been ensnared.
Past events that were exactly like this one was attended by Good Shepherd/Saint Brendan/Pinecrest parents to review and were unanimously rated as very professionally and expertly done. In the days following this forum held on January 15, the feedback from middle and high school students was they had gone in and changed settings to private on their social media and started discussions with parents about what they were doing with social media and opening critical communications channels with their parents and teachers .
When: March 11th @ Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming Georgia. Arrive by 6:55 p.m. at the latest to start at 7:00 promptly! Event should be over on or before 8:30 p.m.
